Constraints Speci cation for TaskScheduling in Real - Time

چکیده

Dealing with scheduling problems leads to the need of task models representing their activation, execution and termination characteristics. During the last 20 years a lot of research has been done on scheduling of real-time systems and a huge number of real-time scheduling algorithms were proposed. In this paper we present a summary of the task constraints handled by the existing algorithms. Unfortunately existing algorithms can only handle a small set of the possible real-time constraints of tasks. The aim is to achieve a framework to be used by a constraint programming language to determine optimal or near-optimal schedules.
